Huawei is developing a phone with an in-display selfie camera

Soon after ZTE revealed the world’s first under-display camera, several companies began developing their own types of the technology.Huawei may be one of these names, as the company has recently published a new design patent for this technology.

As is usual, the patent was discovered by none other than LetsGoDigital, from which the illustrations are derived.

The patent was filed with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), which makes sense given that China is Huawei’s only major market at the moment.

Given the main camera design and overall appearance, the patent depicts a device that resembles the Honor X20 SE.This implies that the upcoming device will be in the mid-range.

However, because the device was only used for illustration purposes, it does not necessarily reflect the actual design of their upcoming phone. The smartphone that will be released with this technology may be completely different.

The phone is completely fingerprint sensor, with no notches or punch holes, thanks to the under-display camera. The quality of the under-display camera, on the other hand, remains to be seen, as the ZTE Axon 20 did not function well in that regard.

It is also worth noting that because the device is only a patent, it may never become official.Huawei may also drop the idea entirely or postpone it until later.
