Earlier this week, Samsung all but confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 would be unveiled on August 11th at Samsung Unpacked.Today, the company released the event’s “Official Trailer,” which serves as a teaser for the upcoming foldable phones.
According to the report, Samsung takes us through the history of folding phones, including former BlackBerry and Motorola handsets.The video then asks whether “good” is good enough, before showing a brief teaser of the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s design
There isn’t much else revealed about the upcoming foldable phones, but chances are you already know what the final product will look like.Both devices are expected to have IPX8 water resistance, as well as improved display durability.
Samsung is also expected to release a new S Pen designed specifically for foldables, as well as a matching Z Fold 3 case to house the phone and stylus.The Z Fold 3 is also expected to be Samsung’s first device to feature an under-display selfie camera, which has previously only been seen on ZTE devices.
n terms of specifications, the Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 are expected to include the Snapdragon 888, at least 8GB of RAM, and at least 128GB of storage.Wireless charging and 25W charging could be on the way, but the excellent Galaxy S21 Ultra camera system is unlikely to make its way to either of these new phones.
Samsung Unpacked will begin on August 11th at 10 a.m.This is when the next generation of folding phones, as well as the Galaxy Watch 4 series and Galaxy Buds 2, are expected to be released.Previous leaks suggested a Galaxy S21 FE release, but recent rumours claim that won’t be the case, as the S21 FE has been pushed back to Q4 2021.
