The expert disclosed that there are not going to be any releases in the next “9-12 months,” and that the iPad mini would be the first product to be announced. It is anticipated that mass production of the iPad mini will commence in the first quarter of 2024.
Kuo also revealed that a foldable iPad will be released in the same year, 2024 and that Anjie Technology, a manufacturer based in Suzhou, will be the primary beneficiary of this development. Anjie Technology will produce “a carbon fiber kickstand.” Even though the majority of foldable devices are already able to stand on their own, the company will “continue benefiting from the growing trends of foldable devices, equipped with kickstands in the future,” according to the analyst. We presume that this refers to a case for the devices.
Because Apple is not releasing any new products, it is anticipated that the company will have a difficult 2023 in terms of tablet shipments, with a predicted annual fall of 10-15%. However, the introduction of a new mini and the first foldable Apple device in 2024 will both contribute to an increase in shipments and an improvement in the product mix.
