Redmi K60 Ultra may have Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and 120Wcharging

In December of 2017, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi introduced a new line of smartphones designated as the K60 series. Now, information on a new device that will be joining the portfolio, known as the K60 Ultra, has been discovered online.

It is anticipated that the Redmi K60 Ultra will debut as the follow-up model to the K50 Ultra that was released the previous year. A source in China known as Digital Chat Station has provided some information that relates to the Redmi K60 Ultra. In a post on Weibo, he disclosed the information that the product will be available during the third quarter of this year, which encompasses the months of July, August, and September. The source claims that the device would be equipped with an AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1.5K pixels and the ability to handle a high refresh rate, most likely 144Hz. It will have a robust appearance thanks to the incorporation of a metallic frame.

Specification

According to DCS, the Redmi K60 Ultra will reportedly be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC that will serve as its primary processor. In contrast, the K60 Pro features a processor based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 architecture. There is no information available on the battery capacity of the K60 Ultra; nevertheless, the tipster mentions that the device will enable 100W fast charging. However, in comparison to the Redmi K50 Ultra, which has a charging speed of 120W, this represents a minor step backward.
