The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be more expensive than the original

The OnePlus Nord 2 may be the most expensive Nord device yet.The device is set to be released next week, and a new rumour suggests that it will be more expensive than the original Nord.

According to the report from 91 Mobiles, the Nord 2 will be significantly more expensive than the vanilla Nord. The phone’s base model (8GB/128 GB) is expected to cost$430, while the 12GB/256 GB variant will cost $470.

In comparison, the base model of the original OnePlus Nord cost $335 at launch, with higher-end models costing $375 and $402.

The Nord 2 is confirmed to feature the flagship-grade Dimensity 1200 SoC with AI improvements, so perhaps the hardware upgrade will accommodate for the price increase. The screen will be a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz.The battery capacity will be increased to 4,500 mAh, but the 30W fast charging will remain the same.

The 50MP primary camera is also expected to outperform its previous leader. An 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP depth camera will be included. The original Nord’s dual front-facing cameras will be replaced by a single 32MP sensor.

The OnePlus Nord 2 will be available on July 22nd, along with the OnePlus Buds Pro.
